Strike ends at Maple Leaf Foods Courtney Park – UFCW 175 & 633
Mississauga, Ont. – November 21, 2024 – Following 18 days on strike, UFCW 175 member at Maple Leaf Foods on Courtney Park Drive have ratified a new collective agreement.
Members voted on the new deal on November 10, 2024. The company offer put forward was a result of mediation that took place between the parties just a few days earlier.
“The members at Maple Leaf voted to take strike action and now have used their votes to ratify an agreement,” said UFCW 175 President Kelly Tosato. “Having that power and that voice to choose how you move forward as a collective group is a huge part of what makes being a union member so important. And as our members return to work, the union will continue to work on their behalf, enforcing the terms of this new agreement and ensuring their voices continue to be heard.”
