United Latinos International Convention
Over 200 United Latinos and UFCW activists from across North America recently gathered in Nevada to talk about a number of important issues involving Latino workers and the international labour movement, such as the need for immigration reform, and the essential role new immigrants can and must play in the union’s strategy for the future.


UFCW Canada is very saddened to learn of the passing of Huguette Plamondon, who dedicated over five decades to building the union, improving the lives of working families, and breaking down barriers for women in Canada.
The first ever Montreal International Women’s Conference, held August 13-16 in Montreal, brought together over 200 women activists from around the world to Montreal to launch a global womens’ network focused on the rights and challanges facing working women in both developed and developing countries.
