Toronto – April 24, 2013 – UFCW Canada organizers and executive staff recently participated in a Strategic Organizing Meeting in Toronto to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening Canada's best retail union and reaching out to more Canadian workers to help them join the union.
Quebec – April 19, 2013 – UFCW Canada Local 503 is taking action against the Canada Revenue Agency for attempting to claw back $63,402 from the incomes of eight members. The CRA’s unjustified actions are especially shocking since the agency has long recognized the seasonal nature of the seafood industry, where the members work as quality control inspectors for Fruits de mer de l’Est in Matane, Quebec.
Winnipeg – April 22, 2013 – The New Democratic Party (NDP) government of Manitoba unveiled its progressive and innovative 2013 budget this past Tuesday.
