2012 BDM Scholarship Winner: Jennifer Turbide, Local 503
Quebec – January 14, 2013 – Jennifer Turbide is one of 18 BDM Scholarship winners for 2012. Sister Turbide is the spouse of UFCW Canada Local 503 member Daniel Dagenais, an electrical mechanic at Charcuterie La Tour Eiffel in Quebec City.

One of the first actions Harper took when he first became Prime Minister was to discard the Kelowna Accord — a comprehensive agreement between the federal and provincial governments, and the leaders of five national Aboriginal organizations in Canada to bring equitable education, employment and living conditions to Aboriginal Peoples.
