Toronto – January 25, 2022 – UFCW Canada is in solidarity with striking union members of the Labor Rights Supported Union of Khmer Employees of NagaWorld (LRSU) in partnership with the International Union of Food and Allied Workers (IUF).
Quebec City – January 24, 2022 – UFCW 501 members at Fabrication PFL recently agreed to a new contract that increases wages by 12 percent upon ratification and 16 percent over the term of the five-year deal.
Ottawa – January 21, 2022 – Workers at Plateau Cannabis are the newest members to join UFCW 1006A after securing a successful certification vote that includes members from two retail locations in Ottawa.
Toronto – January 19, 2022 – January 29 marks the second National Day of Remembrance and Action Against Islamophobia. Five years ago on this date, six worshippers lost their lives at a Québec City mosque.
Steinbach, Man. – January 18, 2022 – The latest recipient of the UFCW Canada Equity Grant has been awarded to the Citizens On Patrol Program (COPP) – Steinbach Chapter for their commitment to public safety and community service.
Yamachiche, Que. – January 17, 2022 – UFCW 1991-P members at Olymel Yamachiche pork processing facility recently ratified a new collective agreement that provides substantial wage increases for new hires, in addition to increasing shift premiums.
Ottawa – January 14, 2022 – The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed many holes in our public health care system, and there are many on the political right who see it as an opportunity to privatize health care.
