Toronto – June 21, 2025 – On this National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are sharing our latest edition of Wiikinahmahgeh Corner, as part of on ongoing series sharing the voices of UFCW Indigenous members.
Langley, B.C. – June 18, 2025 – Ashley Baresinkoff is a proud member of UFCW Local 247, working in the retail grocery sector for more than a decade. She is a member of the UFCW Canada Indigenous Committee and her local union’s Member Engagement Committee. In the fall of 2024, she also became a recipient of the 2024 Equity Grant program under the Community Action stream.
Edmonton – April 23, 2025 – In the latest edition of Wiikinahmahgeh Corner, Charmaine St. Germain, UFCW 401 Union Labour Relations Officer, shares her stories of how she became a union activist, her experiences in running for office, and the importance of Indigenous voices in politics.
Toronto – December 10, 2024 – For Human Rights Day 2024, UFCW is sharing our last Wiikinahmahgeh Corner session for the year. UFCW Canada’s Resident Elder, Eric Flett, shares his wisdom in the video at the link.
Dauphin, Man. – September 11, 2024 – UFCW 832 member Miracle Campeau shares her story, including starting a Cree Word of the Day at Dauphin Co-op, her career as an Indigenous poet, and more.
Prince George, B.C. – June 30, 2024 – For the close of Indigenous History Month, UFCW continues its video education series of Wiikinahmahgeh corner with UFCW 1518 member Christine Holowka.
