UFCW Canada signs collaboration agreement with Mexico’s largest worker organization
Toronto – October 19, 2023 – UFCW Canada has signed a historic new agreement with Mexico’s largest labour organization, the Confederation of Workers in Mexico (CATEM), that calls on both organizations to work collaboratively to better protect the rights of Mexican migrant workers while in Canada.


Toronto – September 28, 2023 – Last week, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal ruled that WSIB Ontario has been illegally reducing compensation of racialized injured migrant workers for decades.
Leamington, Ont. – September 13, 2023 – UFCW Canada partnered with Vivi’r LGBTQ+ to hold a workshop for LGBTQIA+ migrant workers on Trans Justice and Trans Rights at the Agricultural Workers Centre in Leamington this August.
Toronto – August 23, 2023 – UFCW Canada is demanding the Ford government take action in response to an Ontario farm owner retaliating against migrant workers who were speaking out about unacceptable housing conditions.
