Ottawa – June 1, 2020 – Solidarity with UFCW members working at meat-packing plants across Canada continues to grow as the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) has thrown its support behind our union’s campaign to “Help Protect Food Processing Workers” during COVID-19.
Ottawa – May 27, 2020 – The Council of Canadians has joined the call to help UFCW Canada members at meat-packing plants across the country by formally supporting our union’s campaign to protect food processing workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Toronto – May 22, 2020 – Two UFCW campaigns supporting workers in food processing, food retail, health care, security, and other front-line industries have garnered overwhelming support from people across the country, with thousands of Canadians signing on to the campaigns to show their solidarity with essential workers during COVID-19.
Toronto – May 15, 2020 – We’re UFCW union members and your neighbours on the frontline, working day and night across the country to make sure you have the food, healthcare, security and vital services you need to stay safe during the COVID-19 crisis.
Toronto – May 7, 2020 – Food processing workers at meat plants across Canada are working hard on the front lines to make protein products for families and neighbourhoods across the country. And now, amidst the COVID-19 health crisis, they need your support.
