UFCW Global Solidarity: Tell Coca-Cola to respect workers’ rights
Toronto – February 18, 2020 – Attention all UFCW Canada activists and allies: your urgent support is needed to help stop the union-busting tactics of global beverage giant Coca-Cola, who is trying to prevent workers in the U.S., Ireland, Haiti, and Indonesia from expressing their democratic rights to join and participate in a union.

Surrey, B.C. – January 22, 2020 – The credit union for working people in British Columbia, Community Savings, has voluntarily given 10 paid days of leave for employees experiencing domestic violence.
Toronto – January 13, 2020 – UFCW Canada has applied to the Ontario Labour Relations Board to unionize Uber Black limousine and SUV drivers in Toronto. The more than 300 drivers work in and out of Pearson International Airport and downtown Toronto. They could become the first ride-sharing workers in Canada to gain union representation.
Toronto – January 8, 2020 – UFCW Canada, the union for Uber, Lyft, and other ride-hailing drivers, welcomes the City of Toronto’s introduction of new “vehicle-for-hire” regulations aimed at improving safety for drivers and passengers, but would like to see further reforms that empower drivers with enforceable labour rights and health and safety standards.
