AG report confirms migrant worker vulnerability but when will rebuke turn to action
Toronto – December 10, 2021 – Canada’s Auditor General (AG) Karen Hogan has confirmed in a scathing report that Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) continues to fall short in keeping migrant workers and Canadians safe from the deadly coronavirus.




Toronto – July 8, 2021 – With the help of UFCW Canada, a group of migrant agricultural workers from Guatemala have successfully recovered their passports and work permits after they were illegally retained by their former employer in Redcliff, Alberta.
