Hudak's anti-worker policies strongly rejected by Ontario voters

Toronto – June 13, 2014 – The 2014 Ontario Election is now history and the people of Ontario have spoken. Instead of choosing the backward, anti-worker policies of Tim Hudak and the PCs, the electorate chose to reward Premier Kathleen Wynne with a majority government.


The Ontario Election is right around the corner, and if everything goes as planned, young voters will turn out to the polls in much lower numbers than our older counterparts. And that's a shame, because our generation can have a major impact on the election if we choose to get out and vote.

Toronto – April 17, 2014 – The UFCW Canada National Council met in Toronto on April 15 and 16 to focus on the union’s organizing efforts in the retail food industry, and to discuss the best way to build political momentum for fairness as workers and their families face unprecedented assaults on their labour rights from governments at all levels.
