Geneva, Switzerland – July 4, 2019 – UFCW Canada welcomes the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) adoption of new global standards on Violence and Harassment in the World of Work.
Canadians are called to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples on National Indigenous Peoples Day – June 21. On this day we celebrate the unique cultures and contributions made by Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island.
Ottawa – June 5, 2019 – UFCW Canada, the country’s leading advocate and union for migrant and temporary workers, welcomes a new government work permit initiative to protect migrant workers across Canada from abusive employers.
Ottawa – April 2, 2019 – UFCW Canada activists joined hundreds of social justice allies from across Canada for the 2019 Broadbent Institute Progress Summit, held in Ottawa from March 27 to 29.
