New York – March 20, 2025 – UFCW Canada activists joined the Canadian Labour Congress delegation, along with hundreds of global trade union women, this week at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
Edmonton and Saskatoon – March 10, 2025 – In celebration of International Women’s Day, UFCW 401’s RISING Women’s Conference in Edmonton and UFCW Local 1400’s 19th Annual Women’s Conference in Saskatoon brought together hundreds of UFCW activists, all focused on empowering one another and advancing the fight for women’s rights and leadership.

This day marks the tragic anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique massacre in Montreal, where 14 women were killed by a gunman targeting female engineering students.
