Toronto – May 15, 2015 – Students Against Migrant Exploitation (S.A.M.E.) recently opened up the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) Newcomer Youth Conference in Toronto, delivering a message of migrant worker rights and how art can be used for social change in society.
Toronto – May 13, 2015 – UFCW Canada national and local union leaders recently gathered at the biannual UFCW National Council meeting held in Toronto, Ontario.
Bathurst, N.B. – May 7, 2015 – Allison Gallant is one of eighteen UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winners for 2014. Currently completing her Bachelor of Science degree at Western University, Allison is a proud UFCW Canada Local 1288P member who works at the Atlantic Superstore in Bathurst, New Brunswick during the summer.
Winnipeg – April 11, 2015 – Kelly Yu is one of eighteen UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winners for 2014.
Toronto – April 7, 2015 – The International Day of Pink started as a high school initiative, and has since evolved into an annual day across the country where people wear pink and stand in solidarity to raise awareness to stop homophobia, transphobia, transmisogyny, and all forms of bullying.
