Ottawa, Ont. – August 11, 2025 – The new UFCW 175 members in Ottawa at Interval House have ratified their first collective agreement with a three-year term.
Vancouver – August 5, 2025 – The Young Workers Internship Program (YIP), UFCW Canada’s premier training and leadership development initiative for young members, made its western stop in Vancouver this summer, continuing to ignite passion and purpose among the next generation of union activists.
Ottawa – August 1, 2025 – In an open letter to Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) President Bea Bruske applauds the government’s decision to recognize Palestinian statehood — a precondition to the start of a real peace process. Representing over three million workers, the CLC says Canada must be a leader in advancing the principles of international law, human dignity and peace. Canada’s unions also support the calls to action by the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). UFCW is proudly affiliated to the CLC.
